About The Event
Throwback to 18th century Odisha. Under the reign of Gajapati Ramachandra Deva II, Khordha stood tall, a beacon of Odia pride. Though Utkala lay under foreign rule, Akbar’s commander, Mansingh, granted Khordha sovereignty solely to serve Lord Jagannath. The sacred duty of protecting Srimandira and Odia dignity rested with the Gajapati. But dark times descended. Taqi Khan, a ruthless Naib Nazim of Cuttack, set his sights on breaking Odisha’s spirit by targeting the Lord Himself. Through treachery, he overthrows Khordha and imprisons the Gajapati, plotting to strike at the heart of Odia civilization. How will Gajapati Ramachandra Deva II defend Lord Jagannath’s honour? How will he rise to protect Utkala’s pride amidst betrayal?
