About The Event

ALL MEN ARE DOGS

English - Hindi Comedy | Satire | Twists | 75 Minutes | 18+

If you've ever left a theatre still debating what you just witnessed, this is your kind of night.

A routine police investigation into a sexual harassment complaint appears straightforward enough. Until it isn't. One allegation leads to another. Hidden resentments surface. Secrets tumble out. Every witness has a different version of the truth. Every new revelation rewrites the last. As the investigation spirals out of control, ordinary lives are swallowed by an absurd, Kafkaesque maze where suspicion spreads faster than facts, innocence becomes impossible to prove, and everyone is forced to confront the stories they tell themselves about gender, power, and justice.

All Men Are Dogs is a deliciously subversive comedy-thriller that balances razor-sharp wit with edge-of-your-seat suspense. Blending satire, spoof, wordplay, farce and psychological intrigue, it refuses to take sides or offer comforting conclusions. Instead, it turns the audience into the final jury. Every laugh lands with a sting. Every twist challenges an assumption. By the end, certainty itself is on trial.

The play has been written by Mrinal Mathur, one of India's most prolific contemporary playwrights, whose acclaimed oeuvre of original plays has travelled across India and overseas, inviting audiences to question history, challenge assumptions and discover their own truths.

The production is directed by Saleem Shah, one of Indian theatre's most experienced creative forces. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has directed thousands of stage performances, acted in hundreds of television episodes, and worked extensively in feature films, earning a reputation for bringing intelligence, pace and emotional authenticity to every production. Under his direction, All Men Are Dogs becomes an exhilarating theatrical ride where comedy and suspense are inseparable.

Presented by Daydreamers Foundation, an organisation dedicated to producing socially relevant, thought-provoking and accessible theatre, the production brings together a remarkable cast led by Vani Kumar and Jay Singh, whose powerful performances anchor this unforgettable evening.

You'll laugh. You'll judge. You'll change your mind. More than once.
