About The Event
Barricade is set in the German elections of 1933, the subsequent political violence, and the burning of books in Berlin. A powerful allegory of our times, the story is told through the perspective of characters whose lives are changed by these events – the honest journalist, the corrupt newspaper editor, Nazi officials, an upright judge, and the detached intellectual.
