Impresario Asia presents one of the most celebrated classic play in Indian literature - Ashadh Ka Ek Din. One of the most staged and respected modern Hindi Play written by Mohan Rakesh, it has become a landmark in the annals of Hindi Drama.
The play revolves around the life of the great Sanskrit poet, Kalidas, and his inspiration, Mallika. After his elevation in the royal court of Ujjayini, the class divide separates him from his beloved forever. Set in a Himalayan village, the play brings out some of the most tender human emotions of love, separation, disillusionment, justification, success and the personal price that both Kalidas and Mallika pay for his decision to reach for greatness.
