In  Tibetan Buddhism, Bardo is referred to a state of existence between death and rebirth, varying in length according to a person's conduct in life and manner of, or age at, death.

After learning of a drug which enables a mortal to enter into Bardo from their Ustaad, Raja and Shiva, rogue addicts, now use this passage for gambling over cause of death of all bodies brought in Crematory. While doing so regarding a body that is burning, as they start their gamble game, they accidentally feed the drug to little Ganesh. As the skull crumbles, in Bardo, Ganesh sees his father walking to him and asking him to get lost. Terrified Ganesh runs with his heart in his mouth and remainder of the bag of drug in his pocket.

15 years after the incidence, Shiva alone resides in the Crematory after death of Raja. On this eventful night, a police constable comes to Crematory with an unidentified girl's corpse. He asks Shiva to perform the last rites under coercion. Then he proposes a bet before Shiva, a bet to guess the cause of death of the girl. Shiva terrified of life and haunted by his past, agrees. The police constable confronts him about the past while finding questions about his own future. However, for that both have to re-visit the land of the dead...once again in BARDO.

However, the Rules of living do not apply in Bardo and to return to the land of living, you need permission of the dead. There are wide-open gates of passing on luring the dead as well as living to pass through. Dead move on while passing through the gates but what happens to the living is unknown.

How does the constable possibly know about Bardo?

What past Shiva is confronted in Bardo?

Why the constable is so interested in the girl's death?

Will they ever return or suffer for eternity in Bardo?

The play takes viewers to the unknown depths of a place beyond life where all the answers lie along with all the sins one has committed. The cost of finding answers is facing your sins...
