About The Event

Step into an intimate mehfil with Ajeet Singh Palawat and Ipshita Chakraborty Singh, where soulful storytelling meets timeless ghazals and evocative melodies.

Bazm-e-Mausiqi is an intimate soirée where music becomes storytelling, and every note carries the weight of emotion. Soulful narratives blend with timeless ghazals, evoking the classic charm of a mehfil where poetry, melody and emotion come together.

From whispered verses to soaring compositions, the evening unfolds as a journey through memories, stories and emotions. Through the interplay of words, ragas and heartfelt expression, Bazm-e-Mausiqi revives the elegance of traditional musical gatherings while creating an intimate connection with the audience. Leading this evocative experience are acclaimed theatre artists and co-founders of Jaipur’s Ujaagar Dramatic Association, Ajeet Singh Palawat and Ipshita Chakraborty Singh. An NSD-trained actor and director with over 35 stage productions to his credit, Ajeet brings his deep engagement with classical and contemporary theatre to the performance. Ipshita, an NSD graduate and recipient of the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar, brings over 30 theatre productions and a nuanced stage presence to the evening. They are joined by musicians Krishna Raj and Ajay K. Tiwari, whose accompaniment adds depth and texture to the performance, with the production helmed by Ujaagar Dramatic Association.

More than a performance, Bazm-e-Mausiqi is a shared moment of reflection and connection, where nostalgia meets artistry, and each ghazal becomes a bridge between the past and present.
