About The Event
This Play is about the noted Standup Comedian in Kannada named Pranesh. Though he is from Gangavati from the northern part of Karnataka he is recognized extensively with the great satirist and humorist writer in kannada ‘Beechi’. Pranesh initially started his journey as a standup comedian through the satricial writings of Beechi. His tone of delivering the pun created by Beechi gained fame to the extent that till now he had given more than four thousand shows. Travelled abroad too. Besides he turned to be a column writer in kannada where he explored his standup comedy journey in varied perspectives which included the troublesome he faced. Comedian turned to be a bit serious after experiencing some dark facts about laughter.
In this play the late Beechi and his wife Seethakka are quite admirers of Pranesh and wish to meet him in their abode to correct his perceptions in a comical way. Does Pranesh enter the abode of Beechi is all the play dwells about. It is blended with humour, philosophy, poetry and some beautiful anecdotes of Pranesh. Veteran Theatre Actor Dr Babu Hiranniah take the lead in this play as Beechi. The rest charaters add flavor to eternal mode.
