The word "identity" is something that some take pride in, while for others it is an unbearable burden, a cycle of suffering and hardship that they must carry throughout their lives. Many times, in the name of `survival` one continues to move forward by hiding their identity and believing it to be `life` only to find themselves exhausted and regretful on paths that seem impassable. They don`t let go of their colourful desires even though it is exhausting. They become fireflies in the dark. At that moment, darkness becomes a celebration, light becomes a celebration. Thus, "Bob Marley from Kodihalli" is a cluster of stories which revolves around very sensitive discrimination of identity. By using Babasaheb Ambedkar`s "Waiting for Visa" as a metaphor, the question "Where is he truly trying to enter?" becomes important.
