About The Event
Intricately written & woven, Chhatey Paise Than Than Gopal, is a hilarious play with social relevance. In the hustle & bustle of Mumbai, Chandrakant Vyas lives with his family in a western suburb. A nose diving toy business & the inherited property is not enough to live by the standards of a decent middle-class family. To top it up, Mr. Vyas is getting his daughter married & hence is getting his house refurbished. During the excavation, the family hits upon a jackpot which creates a stark division in the family with love & honour on one side whilst pride & money is on the other. Will the family decode the difference between proving & stealing one’s inheritance? Does inheritance always mean money or does it also mean inheriting dignity & honour… Will the catharsis of Chandrakant ever end?
