About The Event
Chicha is a physical theater and clown show performed by an actress. She weaves melodies that guide us to the roots, it is fermenting memory, it is a restless calm wanting to expand the voice of absence.
Betina explores body expression with a sensitivity to the relationship between herself, others, and the space they inhabit. Her work emerges through listening to the subtle, in the poetry of the body and in what feels true in each passing moment. From this attentive presence, she seeks to reveal a genuine connection between herself, the other, and the space that holds them both.
For the last 10 years she has been travelling around the world sharing workshops and performing in theatres, festivals, markets, prisons and non conventional spaces.
