Dastan-e-Hindustan Jannat Nishan baqalam Rahi Masoom Raza is a centenary tribute celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of the legendary writer Dr. Rahi Masoom Raza, a man whose personality was as fearless, poetic, and fiercely independent as the literature he created. Rooted deeply in the syncretic culture of Gangauli a village, Ghazipur a district and India as a whole. Raza was a defiant humanist who weaponized his razor-sharp wit against sectarian divides and refused to be put into a box. This Dastangoi performance captures his childhood in Gangauli, transitioning from an uncompromising academic into the legendary writer who bridged the rustic soul of Aadha Gaon with the cinematic grandeur of Bombay.
