About The Event
Delhi 1946 is set in Delhi, in the year 1946 with the partition of India as its backdrop. It explores the vicissitudes and traumas of this period depicted through the circumstances of the characters. It also sheds light on how, due to the vested political interests of certain leaders, millions lost their lives, and properties and all this resulted in the breeding hatred amongst followers of different religions. Beautiful human relationships were soured and ruined, thanks to some malicious brainwashing by religious demagogues. All this is highlighted in the production through the youth, the teachers, and members of families pertaining to different religions.
