About The Event
The play is a tale of an ordinary man, who on nearing his retirement date, realizes he hasn't lived life to the fullest. A fear of his life's sunset dawns upon him and he now decides to venture into all those aspects of life which had hitherto been left untasted by him. Now he feels as though he should let himself go and do all the things which people normally do.
With a new determination, he takes up the cause and fights for what is right. Suddenly, he experiences his transition into a strong, determined man, with purpose and a difference. He realizes his strength, his worth and his purpose in life.
This play is based on Akiro Kurusawa's Japanese film 'IKIRU'
