About The Event

A journey back to the future

Standing at an awe-inspiring 40 feet, this gramophone, the world’s largest, is a monument to an era where the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s weren’t just decades, but cultural moments defined by style, entertainment, and unforgettable experiences. In every home, the gramophone held a special place: the most prized possession, a centerpiece that drew attention, sparked conversation, and carried the stories of countless memories. Today, at Forum South Bengaluru, this legacy lives on with the iconic presence taking center stage at Forum South Bengaluru, as part of our Forum South Blr Fest, Back to the Future theme.

This installation is more than a decorative piece, it’s a tribute to the cultural revolutions of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. These were the decades that gave us disco nights under shimmering lights, stadium concerts that echoed with anthems, and cassette tapes that became treasures of youth.

Crafted meticulously by 200+ man-hours over 40 days, each curve of this giant echoes with stories: childhood evenings spent rewinding tapes, friendships built on mixtapes, and the thrill of waiting to hear a favorite song on the radio or just watching Tom & Jerry on cartoon network. For some, it is nostalgia. For others, discovery. For everyone, it is going back to the future.

At Forum South Bengaluru, we bring these iconic decades alive again, not as a memory of the past, but as an immersive journey for today’s audience. As you stand before it, let it take you back, Back to the Future.
