Harfkaar foundation presents The play 'Gangster Samiti' adapted from the famous comic melodrama 'Happy End' written and directed by Bertolt Brecht. Gangster Samiti is set factiously in oldDelhi
area. The play showcases two opposing peer groups, a deadly gang and a missionary group, with contradictory faiths and functions in life, Where at one side the gang after doing all the bad is not able to make money for a normal living and on the other side the samiti after doing so good by preaching and serving food to the needy and poor out of whatever they arrange is not able to do the same now what happens when the samitis most sensible worker 'laila' with her team enters in the gang to preach the deadliest gangsters and fell in love with one of them named 'billa.' He is on target of his own gangs head 'kaali billi' and is now on a run because he is trapped by his own gang members for a murder which he didnt commit. What's more in the store is a bank robbery, few foot thumping songs, a love story and hilarious rib tickling performances.
