The Actor’s Club, famous for its Media-Trial like plays, has arrived at the venue for a routine performance, but a couple of actors from the regular cast have cancelled at the eleventh hour, making way for a newcomer to bag a small role, temporarily. To prep him, the cast decides to play their everyday theatre- game: ‘The Trial’, only this time with a different accused. It doesn’t take long before old friends and colleagues turn nasty persecutors.
Adapted from Vijay Tendulkar’s “Silence: The Court is In Session” the play is performed by the extremely talented in-house actors and students, of Mass Production in association with Akshara Theatre. IT’S JUST A GAME presents a take on today’s media-dominated society, be it social or public, by exploring a scenario when the noble act of ‘to know’ takes the sadistic colour of trespass.
Adapted and directed by Vikalp Mudgal. Performed by Sukanya Mukherjee, Vikalp Mudgal, Varun Mittal, Neelkamal, Dhruv Shetty, Renu Subramaniam, R.S. Raghu and Vidya Parthasarathy.
