About The Event

JO DOOBA SO PAAR is a soulful Sufi musical drama that explores the human side of the legendary poet–saint Ameer Khusrau, his profound bond with his गुरु Nizamuddin Auliya, and the spiritual origins of Qawwali. Rooted in the oral tradition of Daastaan, the play weaves together evocative anecdotes, poetry, and history to reveal the essence of Sufism—love, surrender, and unity.

Performed in Urdu, Hindi, Turkish, and English, the narrative flows through time with live Qawwali, dholak, and tabla, creating an immersive musical experience. Rather than presenting Khusrau as a distant historical figure, the play brings forth his inner conflicts, devotion, and humanity, making his journey deeply personal and relevant even today.

JO DOOBA SO PAAR is a celebration of love as a spiritual force—one that transcends religion, language, and era—inviting audiences to listen, feel, and cross over.
