This play is a Hindustani adaptation of Moliere's famous play & Miser Mirza Sakhawat Baig, who is a penny-pincher who wants to marry a girl named Mariyam, who in fact is the love interest of his son Farrukh. When Farrukh gets this news, he becomes furious and tries everything to get back to Mariyam, who incidentally loves Farrukh. There is Mirza's faithful servant Nasir, who actually is not a servant but is working for Mirza because he fell in love with Mirza's daughter Azra and wants to win over Mirza by following his each and every order. While Mirza, on the other hand, wants Azra to get married to a rich person named Aslam. Who will finally get Mariyam, Farrukh or Mirza? Will Nasir and Azra get together? This is what Kanjoos Miyan Deewane is all about.
