About The Event
The play based on the novel of the same name by Jibananda Das, Karubasana revolves around Hem, whose love for art takes his mind away from this material world. His wife complains, daughter suffers and his parents are worried about his material requirements. But he, being a part of the world of passion for art (Karubasana), is not an individual, but a representative of the inner soul of an artist. His creative mind meanders in the world of performing arts, thereby ignoring his family, Hem`s love for art makes his wealthy uncle exploit the family. In spite of the financial hardships, Hem is hardly moved. His desire for creativity grows to such an extent that one day, he loses touch from the material world.
