Kasturba and the Mahatma. The world’s most iconic Indian couple. Bonded by marriage, united by a great cause. Two crucial years in their life, during India’s freedom struggle. Set in Pune’s Aga Khan Palace, where the Mahatma and Kasturbaji were confined, the play is an emotional account of two years of captivity of the world’s most iconic couple.
In the 150th year of commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhiji’s birth by UNESCO and the Government of India, Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation presents its new production ‘Kasturba’ directed by Padma Shri Mohammad Ali Baig. The play is in the true tradition of Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation’s Heritage Theatre.
