Kathasutra is an innovative concept of story narration that involves artists from the theatre and voice industry, woven together in the style of Katha Vachan or story narration. It challenges the established rules of storytelling and character development. It’s one of a kind in the present time and showcases the endless possibilities of human creativity in developing a character without any movement, remaining static on stage for the whole performance.
In this edition, our theme is understanding a woman’s mind through stories, where we merge two stories by Munshi Premchand in a loop, in the form of experimental theatre. Our theme is raw and realistic, touching the human soul. The whole stage scenario is created through audio-visual effects. This experiment is one of its own kind, and we call it Kathasutra.
