Amol Palekar the heart-throb of 80s India, was the hero in movies like Gol Maal, Chhoti Si Baat, Chitchor, Rajnigandha, and Baton Baton Mein among many others; was the simple common man hero image that everyone associated with in contrast with Angry Young Man Amitabh Bachchan. His decade was termed the Golden Era of Indian Cinema. It's one last chance to witness him live on stage.
Coming back to the story of Kusur(The Mistake)-A theatrical Reading :
It all begins on a rainy night... when retired Assistant Police Commissioner Ashok Dandavate ( Amol Palekar) volunteers his service in a police control room. As the hours go by, anonymous residents of Mumbai seek help. With a trial coming up the next day, he gets a call from a woman who he believes has been kidnapped and despite being warned not to get too emotionally involved, that's what exactly he does. The night presents us with a series of twists and turns, while the end unearths the truth in a way that leaves us holding our breath.
