Man ke Adeetth Saanche (a rehearsed reading) is Episode 4 of Padatik Theatre's celebrated ongoing "Writers on Stage" series; in which writing of the writer takes centre stage.
Here we bring to you 2 stories by Vijaydan Detha (Bijji), one of the most luminous voices of Rajasthani literature. These stories probe, with razor edged tenderness, the invisible moulds, social, psychological, and domestic, that quietly shape, constrain, and ultimately define human lives. Both stories, Putiya Chacha & Kenchuli, emerge from the rural and semi-rural Rajasthan, and together map a landscape of hidden desires, conformity, and quiet rebellion.
