About The Event
A husband who walked away from a high-paying IT job and now stays at home. A wife who works tirelessly at a Montessori school just to keep the household running.
This is the story of Marcia.
The husband carries within him the anger, anxiety, and quiet madness that seem to haunt so many people today. As his wife struggles to support him while shouldering every responsibility, she slowly begins to break. She becomes so exhausted, so emotionally drained, that by the beginning of the play, the husband—who appears mentally unstable—is the one taking care of her, while she has descended into severe mental illness.
What drove her to that point?
When will society begin to take mental health seriously?
Today's young generation is growing weary trying to solve one problem after another. Where, then, should they look for peace? And when?
Marcia is a play that fearlessly confronts these urgent questions.
