About The Event
Matsya Avatar is a journey of a mythical island as it faces absolute destruction at the hands of nature`s wrath. Who do the social structures on the island serve in times of crisis? As the cracks that divide the island widen, the play explores what the island folk believe in and strive for, how they love and dream as the inevitable inches closer. Matsya Avatar was written as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
