About The Event
Mohtarma Will You Marry Me is based on one of Anton Chekhov’s acclaimed stories. It`s a
comedic play that revolves around a marriage proposal. After 4 houseful shows that put the
Gurgaon audience in splits, the play has now come to entertain the Delhi audience. The story is
set in Delhi`s typical neighborhood and follows the character of Shamshad Ali Khan alias Majnu,
a landowner, who visits his neighbor Laila Kapoor intending to propose marriage to her The play
humorously portrays the absurdities of human interactions and the comedic chaos that ensues
when trivial matters escalate into major conflicts.
