AHA! International Theatre for Children Festival 2026 presents Moons Magic & Sapling!
A DOUBLE BILL OF TWO PLAYS!
Moons Magic
A story of a very cute little girl who lives with her grandmother. She wakes up early with the crowing of a rooster and goes to her school every day. One afternoon, after school, while playing in the field, she discovered the moon for the very first time; she was thrilled to have this acknowledged by her grandmother. The next day, she found the moon in its half-shape, and thereafter, she was frightened due to its complete absence from the sky. Her grandmother approached her to calm her down by explaining the facts of a lunar eclipse, convincing her that the moon would return soon. That night, the moon came to her in her dreams; they played together until finally, the moon lulled her to sleep and returned to the sky.

Sapling
Sapling is a poignant new narrative that exposes the devastating impact of plastic pollution on the balance of nature. The story follows a young sapling planted with the hope of becoming a mighty tree, only to be suffocated by a relentless storm of plastic waste. Despite a butterflys desperate rescue attempt, the sapling perishes. Devastated by the loss, the man who planted it wages a tireless war against pollution, ultimately extracting tons of plastic buried deep within the dead plants roots. The narrative reaches a powerful crossroads when the man, standing amidst an ocean of waste, is presented with a second sapling. It leaves audiences with a stark, urgent question: What will be the fate of this new life? The future depends on whether we choose plastic or the planet.
