About The Event
A devised performance based on Shakespeare's King Lear. To see King Lear through the eyes of a clown is to see him as a man, as a father, as an outcast, as a child: to view a fool through the eyes of a fool. A single actor on stage, an old clown....an entire life lived within the tempest of the theatre. The search for Lear brings us to the eye of the storm - the self. The search for a contemporary tale of father and daughter brought to life by the one man who portrays the grain of Shakespeare’s fiction brilliantly – Vinay Pathak.
