About The Event
A True Indian - Tamil History of 18th Century.
Velu Nachiyar is the first Indian Tamil queen carries the distinction of having given the British a run for their life. One and only warrior Queen who ruled over Sivagangai for 16 long years during the 18th Century. First Women’s Army (Udayal Padai) First Human Bomb (Kuyili) First Guerrilla Warfare (Kooraal Padai) Fluent in seven languages & Champion of peace and harmony are her attributes.
Now, OVM Theatres is staging her true history as a Grand Musical Theatre with 60 performers, across the country.
We believe Velu Nachiyar's martyrdom is an unparallel anecdote in our nation's history as it solely talks about the role played by a woman in pioneering our unconditional resistance against the British rule.
