Celebrate the spirit of communal harmony with our historian-led storytelling walk through Mehrauli village, during the time-honoured festival of Phool Walo Ki Sair—a syncretic tradition that brings together Hindu and Muslim communities in a shared celebration of peace, devotion, and Delhi’s cultural richness.
We’ll walk through timeless sites that reflect this unity:
🌸 The ancient Yogmaya Temple, believed to date back to the Mahabharata
🌙 The sacred Dargah of Qutbuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki, an 800-year-old Sufi shrine
🏰 The summer palace of Bahadur Shah Zafar, Delhi’s last Mughal emperor, who gave royal patronage to this very festival
As flower chadars and pankhas (fans) are offered in both temple and dargah, we’ll share stories of kings, saints, poets, and people who believed in the power of shared traditions. You’ll also receive beautifully designed bookmarks featuring tales and visuals from the walk.
📩 All details will be shared via email post-registration.
