About The Event
It is a Kannada play which deals with the theme of Neighbor Harassment. The play takes narration through the seriousness of the subject rather than through parody/comedy treatment given in most of the existing dramas/movies which deal with the same theme. It aims at showing how people suffer in their day to day life and the consequences that they have to go through due to bad neighbors prevailing in almost every corner on this earth. While some of the cases come to light, this story tries to show the silent sufferings of the majority of the people going through neighbor harassment. The story happens in a locality in a city where there is a friendly neighborhood. There are 3 houses, and women from these are having a very friendly, respectful and loving relationship always spending time together involving in joyful activities everyday. While all this peaceful coexistence was happening, trouble starts for one of the women who is living with her husband when a caretaker lady from a village comes to live in the neighboring house to take care of the house as the owner moves to another town. What happens next is the core of the play that opens up some of the facets of neighbor harassment, its consequences, involvement of the other neighbors and how the story ends, whether it provides justice to the couple or exposes the loopholes of our system or will lead to extreme situations and all these will leave a highly thought provoking impression on audiences. Rakshasaiddaare Echarike... will try to induce a sense of awareness of the type of neighbors the audiences are dealing with and living within their day today life.
