About The Event
Refund is a sharp-witted satirical comedy that follows the story of Viraj, a disgruntled middle-aged man who returns to his old school demanding a refund of his tuition fees. He claims that the education he received was worthless and didn’t prepare him for real life. Amused yet alarmed, the school board decides to test him one last time—if he fails, he gets the refund. What follows is a hilarious courtroom-like showdown filled with wit, irony, and clever twists, where the tables keep turning between teacher and student. The play masterfully mocks the rigid education system and questions what true knowledge really means.
