AHA! Theatre for Children Festival 2025 presents Saau!
Saau follows a courageous girl who defies a generational curse of darkness engulfing her village. Drawing from Savitribai Phule’s life and Swati Raje`s Andharacha Gaanv, this experimental puppetry piece uses Bunraku, overhead projections, and self-lit puppets in a wordless performance that reimagines shadow theatre, celebrating resilience and defiance against oppression.
This play is based on Swati Raje`s book "Andharacha Gaanv" and Savitri Bai Phule`s life story.
