Shaadi Ke Mandap Mein is a laugh-out-loud situational comedy set against the colourful chaos of an Indian wedding—where music, rituals, relatives, and emotions collide.
What begins as a picture-perfect wedding ceremony takes an unexpected turn when the bride slaps her brother-in-law, transforming the wedding mandap into a courtroom.
As the “trial” unfolds, wedding guests double up as judges, lawyers, and witnesses, exposing hypocrisy, patriarchy, and personal agendas hidden beneath the sheen of tradition.
Through sharp humour and memorable characters, the play satirises societal norms, family politics, and the selective use of customs for selfish motives. Beneath the comedy lies a powerful commentary on gender, dignity, and the silent pressures placed on women within families—all delivered in an entertaining, fast-paced narrative that keeps audiences laughing while making them think.
Presented by Adakaar Theatre Society, Shaadi Ke Mandap Mein has been widely acclaimed and performed at prestigious platforms.
A perfect blend of humour and social insight, Shaadi Ke Mandap Mein promises an evening of laughter, relatability, and reflection.
