Silk Threads attempts to present a fresh, layered concept rooted in psychological truth rather than external drama. The narrative is girls-centric, focusing on female friendships, jealousy, guilt, and silence making it especially relevant and impactful for women and ideal for college spaces, particularly girls’ colleges, where such emotional realities often remain unspoken. I chose Silk Threads because very few contemporary plays today reflect the psychological reality of the present generation. Most stories avoid the inner conflicts people live with daily. This play is inspired by real human behaviour ,how individuals carry intense emotions, unresolved trauma, and deep secrets within themselves without ever expressing them.
