About The Event

Scribe Rites Lab presents, Son, a solo physical theatre performance experiment exploring the Seeker Archetype by Abhay Srivastava. Son is a private loss shared. Son is a journey of embodiment. It is a formal exploration of self-awareness, connection, self-regulation, towards self-acceptance. It is a son’s journey through dreams and dreaming. It looks at meaning making as an artist and worries about craft. Son considers flights and falls. Is there a way to seek the sun without an Icarus burn?

This work is part of a Performance as Research project on Embodiment by Abhay Srivastava, with facilitation and mentoring support from Dr. Manola Gayatri Kumarswamy.
