About The Event
Presented as part of Shivendra Sinha Theatre Festival 2026, TAFTEESH is a Hindi
theatrical adaptation inspired by JB Priestley acclaimed play An Inspector
Calls.
The story revolves around a mysterious investigation that forces a family to
confront uncomfortable truths about their past. As the investigation unfolds,
hidden relationships, choices, and responsibilities gradually come to light. At
its heart, TAFTEESH explores powerful themes of social responsibility, guilt, inequality, accountability, and the consequences of our actions. The play raises a compelling question - When a tragedy occurs, who is truly responsible, the individual, the family, or
society itself?
