About The Event
Set in small-town India during the early years of liberalisation in 1995, the play explores the arrival of aspiration, consumer culture, and corporate pressure through the lives of young door-to-door vacuum cleaner salespeople trying to survive in a rapidly changing country.
Blending musical storytelling, satire, dark humor, folk energy, and ensemble-driven performance, the production reflects on the cost of ambition. It digs into recent history to find the seeds of the world we are reaping today.
