About The Event
Mahesh Dattani`s Tara portrays gender inequality and emotional conflicts within a family. It revolves around the lives of the twin siblings, Tara and Chandan. The social injustice faced by Tara for being a girl, and the bond between the siblings, form the core of the play. Themes such as guilt, mental illness, societal pressure, patriarchy, and gender bias are also explored.
