The Money Opera is the new theatrical sensation created and directed by Amitesh Grover. This immersive work of theatre takes place in an abandoned building. The show lets the audience choose where to go and what to see. Once inside, you encounter a dark and dreamlike universe continually breaking apart and falling away, a riddle that needs solving. Bewilderingly distinct tales of despair and tenderness, defeat and victory are performed against the assault of money. Spectators can follow the actors, enjoy wordless scenes, or linger alone in a character’s room, reading letters and listening to songs. The show indulges the senses and creates a quality of encounter that is unforgettable. This haunting tour de force creates worlds within worlds. It is immersive theatre at its best.
