About The Event
Can the writer detach himself from his words, the artist from his vision, the musician from his song? This is the essence of this intensely dramatic, philosophical, yet fast-moving play. Set in a publishing house in any major large city of the world, where Ron and his colleagues celebrate the success of hotshot writer Sameer’s latest book, Ron’s anguished relationship with his wife Sally is offset by the sexual tension between him and the new woman in the office, the seductive Shauna. Amidst the simmering undercurrents of desire, hatred and jealousy, the players struggle to find resolution in their troubled lives, even as a shocking climax awaits them.
Written by Divyansh Vyas and directed by R.S. Raghu, The Unknown is performed by Neel Kamal, Amanpreet Kaur, Renuka R.S., Shivain Vaidyalingam and others members of the Akshara Repertory.
The Unknown is part of the Gopal Sharman Theatre Festival.
