First Drop Theatre presents `Towards Safe(r) Spaces, a Playback Theatre performance.
The world we live in is getting increasingly polarised. There`s a need more than ever for safer spaces to be nurtured. But, what might be a safe space for one person might not be for another.
We invite you all to share your personal moments and experiences of having or not having a safe space; stories layered through the prism of gender, disability, privilege, politics, religion, family, relationships, and more. And watch as your real-life stories and moments are brought to life by our actors, on-the-spot! in the format of Playback Theatre, using text, poetry, metaphors, movement, and more.
Playback Theatre- Magical, creative, thought-provoking, reflective, unscripted...just like life itself. A format of improvisational, interactive theatre where the actors use their creativity and skill, to present an engaging and dramatized retelling of the audience member`s story on-the-spot.
