About the play:
One of the greatest Kannada playwrights, D. R. Nagaraj, adapted Anton Chekhov`s Ward No. 6 into Kannada and introduced it to the world of Kannada drama in 1980. Ward No. 6 has made its mark in the Kannada drama scene by finding its own long way. This work is a story that takes place among minds that have lost their mental balance. Injustice, exploitation, corruption, cruelty, tyranny - all these are seen in this play as the root cause of the abuse of power by a corrupt official. According to Anton Chekhov, `The duty of a character is to find questions, not to find answers`.
