India’s rise in world golf takes centre stage at the inaugural DP World India Championship, which tees off from 16 to 19 October 2025 at Delhi Golf Club. As the most significant DP World Tour event ever staged in the country, it marks a major milestone in the region’s golfing journey.
With a US$4 million prize fund and a pivotal place in the ‘Back 9’ swing of the Race to Dubai, the tournament is set to draw a world-class field, headlined by five-time Major winner and recently crowned Masters Champion Rory McIlroy, alongside Ryder Cup star Tommy Fleetwood, with both players making their debuts in India. Fans can expect four days of thrilling play in the heart of Delhi, with the stakes building toward the season-ending DP World Tour Play-Offs.
Co-sanctioned with the Professional Golf Tour of India and backed by DP World’s global commitment to growing the game, the championship is poised to become India’s marquee international golf event, bringing together elite competition, vibrant local energy, and a powerful platform to inspire and expand the future of golf in India.
Conditions of play
The tournament shall be decided by Par-72 of individual stroke play over 4 days with a cut to 65 and ties
The maximum field size shall be 138 players
