The Ballard Estate precinct is a beautiful example of urban design in early 20th century Mumbai, reviving an architectural style that was popular in Europe during the Renaissance period. Its heritage continues to be lovingly preserved even as the precinct is changing from a business and shipping district to a retail precinct. On our #BallardBolt walk powered by the precincts Tilfi flagship store, which too is preserving a centuries old heritage from Banaras, we take a look at the precinct history and heritage and showcase institutions that continue to preserve this slice of Edwardian London created in our city by the Port Trust.
