About The Event

BONEDI BARIR DURGA PUJO PARIKRAMA 2026 - Exclusive Bonedi Puja Tour Maha Nabami

Presented by Trek Break and More

Welcome to Bonedi Barir Pujo Parikrama 2026, a celebration steeped in history and culture. The history of Durga Puja in Bengal is more than 500 years old. Today's West Bengal, alias Bengal, used to be the capital of India. Till the Britishers arrived, Bengal used to be the granary of the entire country. Industries like Jute, Silk, textiles, and spices had worldwide demand. At such a time, the entire Bengal celebrated the Akal Bodhan Puja.

After the arrival of the Britishers in Bengal, the situation began to change overnight. The British government in this country needed good governance. Bengali Jamindars were sometimes supported just because of collecting taxes. Apart from this, there was a demand for Indian products all over the world, taking advantage of which the business flourished at this time due to the initiative of some Bengalis. It would not be wrong to say that Durga Puja was a status symbol of the era in the Bonedi Baris (Palaces) of Bengal. Its deep history and exciting stories are stored inside this state. These houses with their complete settlement can be seen only by walking on the streets of Bengal. But for history, we have to go deeper.

From the land of Jamindars to the supply chain of the subcontinent. This Durga Puja, we will become a part of this Bonediana with everything from their lifestyle, food, traditions, and of course, Durga Puja (inscribed in 2021 on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity).

We will make this connection between the glorious past and the vibrant present, the festival of the city of joy, all in front of your eyes.

Namaskar!
