Fireflies Festival Girivan
Girivan is a private hill station in Hotale village near Kolvan of Mulshi taluka of Pune Maharashtra. It is approximately at 2400 feet above sea level & 45kms from Pune. It gives you a beautiful view of the valley & stunning landscaping of sahyadri hills It’s a complete rejuvenating experience! Ideal for a one-day trip from Pune or a two-day trip from Pune with friends or family & Corporate. Just take a break from your tiresome daily routine and spend at least a day or two here at girivan to enjoy unforgettable real revitalizing experience.
Who are these beautiful Fireflies & phenomenon ?
The fireflies are usually in the larvae form during the winter and are deep underground, they mature during the spring season which is generally the months of March & April, and they come out for mating in the late summer season and before the onset of monsoons. All the male fireflies have a different glowing pattern and if they do manage to attract a female firefly, she will herself start glowing in a similar pattern.
SCHEDULE FOR FIREFLIES FESTIVAL
1. Check in – 4.30pm onwards
2. Hi-Tea – 4.30pm – 6.30pm
3. Free play and exploring premises – 4.30pm – 6.30pm
4. Assembling guests at parking area – 6.30pm
5. Briefing session - instructions & safety measures – 6.45pm – 7pm
6. Depart for fireflies & fireflies viewing (batch 1) - 7.15 pm -8.15 pmm
7. Dinner – 9.45pm – 9.45 pm
8. Depart for fireflies & fireflies viewing (batch2) - 9.00 pm to 10.00pm
9. Post dinner the brief of senior staff- 10.15 pm - 10.30 pm.
10. Wrap up & Back to Accommodation.
