Hogenakkal Waterfalls, widely celebrated as the "Niagara of India," is a breathtaking cascade located on the Kaveri River along the border of Karnataka and the Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. The name Hogenakkal translates to "smoking rocks" in Kannada, perfectly describing the dramatic, misty illusion created when the powerful waters crash into the deep gorge and ancient carbonatite rock formations below.

Itinerary:
Day 1- Hogenakkal Waterfalls Day Trip
• 06:00 AM – Early Bird Departure Hit the road from Bangalore for a scenic 140 km drive. Leaving early helps you beat the city traffic and enjoy the cool morning breeze.
• 08:30 AM – Breakfast Fuel-Up Stop at a popular highway restaurant en route to charge up for the adventure ahead.
• 11:00 AM – The Main Event: Waterfalls & Coracle Ride Arrive at Hogenakkal. Head straight for the iconic coracle (basket boat) ride to get up close to the roaring falls, take a refreshing dip in the designated safe swimming areas, and walk across the hanging bridge for incredible panoramic views.
• 02:00 PM – Lunch Break Take a breather and enjoy a hearty vegetarian lunch (self-sponsored) to refuel after all the water activities.
• 03:00 PM – Wildlife & Reptile Exploration Visit the local Crocodile Park and the nearby fish aquarium to see some unique aquatic life and local conservation efforts.
• 05:00 PM – Sunset Return Journey Bid goodbye to the falls and start heading back toward Bangalore.
Bonus Stop: If time and traffic permit, make a quick pitstop to explore the serene Jain Temple and the beautiful Pink Marble Temple along the way.
