Humayun's tomb is the tomb of the Mughal emperor Humayun in Delhi, India. This tomb was initiated by his first wife in the 16th century. This is the first garden tomb in Asia and is a heritage site too. The tomb is not just one building of architectural value. The complex holds numerous monuments, tombs and other structures for exploration. The construction began in 1565, nine years after his death, and completed in 1572 AD at a cost of 1.5 million ruppees at the time. In 1993 this monument was declared a world heritage site. This brought new interest to its restoration, and a detailed research and excavation process began under the aegis of the Aga Khan Trust and the ASI, culminating in 2003.

Humayun's tomb main attractions:
The monument does not hold one tomb. It has a series of small monuments and tombs that lead to the main monument. The Bu Halima garden and tomb is one of the major attraction for the tourists. This structure is famous for its architecture, plaster decoration and others.

Best time to visit Humayun's tomb:
Late afternoon is the best time to visit Humayun's tomb all throughout the year. But to witness best of Humayun's Tomb, you must visit between October to March. These are months when the climate is pleasant and you won't feel too uncomfortable.

Humayun's tomb timings:
The Humayun's tomb is open to people throughout the week from 6 am to 6 pm. For Indians, the entrance fee is Rs. 30 and for foreign nationalities, Rs. 500.
