An actor, dialogue writer and a director, Amit Mistry is a versatile artist who is known for his work in both Bollywood and Gujarati cinema. Having started his career as an actor with Namaste: Say Hello to... Love in 2002 , Mistry eventually starred in films like popular films like Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local (2007), Shor in the City (2010), Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011), Singh Saab the Great (2013), and his 2017 release includes Chor Bani Thangaat Kare, a Gujarati comedy family drama directed by Rahul Bhole. Apart from acting, Mistry has also worked as a dialogue writer for What`s Your Raashee? (2009) as well as directed a short film titled Two Cubes Pls (2013). He then featured in Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer
A Gentleman (2017). His 2018 release includes Tukkaa Fitt, directed by Shawn Arranha. He was then seen in Amazon Prime Original series titled Bandish Bandits (2020). He died of cardiac arrest on 23 April 2021.
